1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the websites, platforms, compliance tools, reports, analyses, and related services (collectively, the "Services") operated by Izquierdo Advisory ("we," "us," or "the Firm"), accessible at andresizquierdo.com and associated subdomains.
By accessing or using the Services — including by clicking "I Agree," checking a consent box, or continuing to browse — you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
The Services are intended for professional and commercial use. By using the Services you represent that you are at least 18 years of age and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement.
2. Description of Services
Izquierdo Advisory provides AI-powered legal intelligence tools and compliance platforms, including but not limited to:
- The EU AI Act Compliance Engine — AI-generated regulatory mapping and compliance analysis
- The US Deepfake Law Navigation System — AI-generated state-level synthetic media law analysis
- The Music Metadata Identification & Attribution Tool — AI-assisted rights documentation outputs
- Legal commentary, analysis, and perspectives published on the platform
- Attorney Review Services — optional human review of AI-generated outputs by qualified legal professionals
All platform outputs are produced by artificial intelligence systems. They are not, and do not constitute, legal advice. See Section 4 (AI Disclosure) and our dedicated AI Disclosure for full details.
3. Licence and Permitted Use
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use the Services for your own internal business or professional compliance purposes.
You may not:
- Resell, sublicence, or redistribute platform outputs as legal advice or as independently certified compliance documents without a written licensing agreement with Izquierdo Advisory
- Reproduce or distribute platform outputs publicly without attribution
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract the underlying AI models or databases powering the platforms
- Use the Services for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable regulation
- Misrepresent AI-generated outputs as attorney work product without completing the Attorney Review Service
4. AI-Generated Content — Critical Limitations
The compliance analyses, regulatory mappings, risk classifications, obligation summaries, and all other substantive outputs produced by Izquierdo Advisory platforms are generated by large language model (LLM) artificial intelligence systems. These outputs are provided for informational and compliance-preparedness purposes only.
You acknowledge and agree that:
- AI-generated outputs may contain errors, omissions, or inaccuracies and should not be relied upon as the sole basis for legal, regulatory, or business decisions
- Platform outputs do not constitute legal advice, do not create an attorney-client relationship, and are not a substitute for advice from a qualified attorney in the relevant jurisdiction
- Regulations change frequently; outputs reflect the state of the law at the time of generation and may not reflect subsequent legislative or regulatory developments
- Jurisdiction-specific obligations require local counsel review; cross-border compliance analyses are indicative, not definitive
For outputs intended for regulatory submission, legal proceedings, or board-level certification, we strongly recommend the Attorney Review Service, in which a qualified European IP attorney reviews and certifies your documents.
5. Intellectual Property
All content on the platforms — including text, design, code, trademarks, logos, platform architecture, and proprietary compliance frameworks — is the intellectual property of Izquierdo Advisory or its licensors and is protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and IP laws.
AI-generated outputs produced in response to your specific inputs and queries may be used by you for your own internal compliance purposes. However, the underlying methodologies, frameworks, classification systems, and prompt architectures remain the exclusive property of Izquierdo Advisory.
6. Platform Access, Accounts & Licensing
Access to certain platform features requires a licensing arrangement, subscription, or early access agreement. Licensing terms are agreed separately and supplement these Terms. Where a conflict exists between a specific licensing agreement and these Terms, the licensing agreement prevails.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of any access credentials and for all activity occurring under your account.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, completeness, or non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. We do not warrant that AI-generated outputs are legally accurate, complete, or appropriate for your specific circumstances.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Izquierdo Advisory, its founder, partners, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Services — including but not limited to losses arising from reliance on AI-generated outputs.
Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising under these Terms shall not exceed the fees paid by you to us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Izquierdo Advisory and its principals from any claim, liability, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Services, your violation of these Terms, or your misrepresentation of AI-generated outputs to third parties.
10. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the District of Columbia, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. For users located in the European Union, applicable EU consumer and data protection law applies in addition to these Terms where required by law.
Any dispute arising under these Terms shall first be submitted to good-faith negotiation. If unresolved within 30 days, disputes shall be submitted to binding arbitration under the rules of the American Arbitration Association, with proceedings conducted in Washington, DC.
11. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be notified via the platform or by email. Continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
